Goodness I loved seeing you guys today!! Kellyn is still talking about Baby J & T. She asked when you were coming back!! Thanks so much for letting me practice with the new light set up and being patient while I tweaked everything! You're the best!!

Yippee for Friday...

Goodness it's been another crazy busy week. The Cost Report is nearly ready to be filed, so soon, my mega-stress at work will be water under the bridge. YAAY for that.

Home has been nuts too. Kellyn has been coughing like a mad woman since Thursday last week. Monday night, she was hot but nothing further. I took her to the fill in doc today and we got 'nuthin. I had hoped that 10 days of coughing would score us an antibiotic, but not this time. We're supposed to wait it out for another week. In the meantime she suggested I give her a 12 hour cough suppressant. It started with a D, but I don't recall the name now. She actually takes her "aminic" (triaminic) pretty well and it works fairly well. I'll see if I can find the "d" stuff and persuade her that it will work better.

I got the new light & reflector, which has kept my mind busy and very excited to mess around with it. I wish I had more time to do that & find a bigger spot to practice... On Wednesday, we were so nuts that we FORGOT to go to dance class! I'd talked about it before I left work that day & Kellyn & I talked about it on the way home from daycare?! Hee hee... Thursday I met with K about her photos and then did some proofing from last weekend. Tonight, I'm just exhausted. I left work early to pick up Kellyn & get her to the doc by 4. Had I known they were running about 30 minutes behind, I wouldn't have left work when I did, but whatever.. I finished proofing my Halloween morning session and am about to get the kids settled. There's a new SpongeBob movie on tonight, so we're going to make some popcorn & cuddle on the couch. :) Tomorrow is pictures with V. & 6 month old J. I can't wait for that. I need to run out after, scope out a location for Sunday & get a birthday present. The boys are going to a sleepover tomorrow & I'm getting the birthday boy's sister for a sleep over here. Kellyn is beyond excited, but I do have several things I need to do to get ready for that too... Sunday I have photos midday. It'll be busy, but the weather is going to be gorgeous. I think I"m going to try to find time to get the kiddos up to the new playground sometime... :)

Alien bee + reflector...

So, it's become obvious to me that this bee/reflector set up is bigger than my living room can handle. LOL I need to find a new spot, be that in the garage, or the basement. I need more room to spread it all out. I did come to the conclusion though, that I need my softbox slightly behind me while I'm shooting. It makes the eyes POP! Love it... I wish my models were more patient with me... I think I'll be shooting baby dolls before long... Hee hee..

My Alien Bee has landed...

WOOHOO!!! I have been saving my pennies to buy a studio set up so that I can work inside when the weather is uncooperative outdoors. I got part I of it today. My Alien Bee light and my extra large softbox came. I couldn't WAIT to get it all set up!! I think I sort of have an idea of how to work it. Tomorrow's delivery will be a giant relfector... HOW EXCITING!!
